in the beautiful matte downtown area, just next to a beautiful square filled with beautiful colorful cars on numerous parking lots, the bonvivant finds the > fischerstübli, a „gout mieux“ restaurant (=food is based on happy cows). we tried if the food tastes better.

an extremely cosy interior promises a lot, plus there are even cosier cane
chairs in the alcove and plants outside where one can sit and watch the
lively life of the historical matte downtown area. the service only speaks
swiss german from st.gallen, but that is just about the only (small) problem
we have tonight, apart from that we > enjoy delicious macaroons with goat
cheese, or something alike, anyway it tastes great. we stay a long time, and
at the end we most likely would have gotten the phone number of the
waitress, what being good husbands we didn’t even try (of course). a visit
is well worth it, and thanks to the many parking lots, one can even travel
there by car.
