with some people, you go out to eat, with others to eat a good meal. f belongs to the second category of people since we first went out together.
on that evening, we met at zytglogge, it was cold and we didn’t want to walk far. the > punkt seemed to be a reasonable place to go to. we glanced through the big window at the front that revealed, that there was still enough space for two more.
after they brought away our coats, they seated us at the long table on the other side of the window and we studied the card. it revealed, what the first glance into the restaurant suggested: the concept is almost the same as at lilly’s in zurich: asian food (china, thai, india) in a nice atmosphere, where people sit together with people they have never seen before. some kind of joke is the word “> punkt”, that appears in some meals in the menu. the second joke is the big screen on the wall that shows the kitchen.
we could not decide on what to eat, so we choose a combo, three plates each (and lot’s of rice with it). if you choose curry, you choose the meat they cook in it. what i’ve learned: horse is not meant to be in a curry, as the taste is too strong.
they cook very well and the staff is very friendly. we finish the meal with an espresso and a grappa and – for once the marketing fits the place – > enjoyed.
