other cities have or had skycrapers, antennas or castles with a restaurant on top with a view on the urban life. in bern you can make a "trip" on the gurten and you got a restaurant and a tower where you have a view over city and the surroundings. or little closer to the city, and little lower lays the rosengarten. it's also famous for it's view, beside the roses of course. in the city you can go on the > grosse schanze, the münster (but you have to climb the stairs and you don't get refreshment on top, except the wind) or to the restaurant > panorama on the roof of insel hospital.

for me, it was real surprise, because i thought that the roof with it's view would be reserved for the chief excecutive medicals or the patients with a private insurance.
in the elevator press the "s1" button (s1 is also the name for the restaurant in the nurse jargon).

the restaurant is a cantina to be precise, so a visit is only worth at a beautiful day. the atmosphere is characterized by the view.
open hours weekdays from 7 am to 8 pm, closed on weekends.
