twice a week you get fresh food in bern. a possibilty for urban people to experience the country.

you will experience with all senses. finally you taste the products of the closer or wider surroundings of the city of bern.

but first you can look at the vegetables, fruits, the fresh bred and flowers. let the colors of the season work on you. then you go to the close combat. you can touch the fruits and veggies and choose the one you like best. then you talk to the market women (better learn german!), ask them for tips how to cook the product you've chosen. that's when you hear the different dialects from the country (if you are m> onolingual, maybe you don't recognise it...). if you're not too ignorant, you remark that some of them speak french.

sometimes i hear people say, that the > märit (market) is too expensive. that is not true. if you buy the same quality in a supermarket you have to expect the same price level. i am aware that you get cheaper food in a supermarket, but then you are about to eat scrap.
