du nord
a good start for a tour de lorraine. doesn't matter if musical, political or gastr> onomical.

a reason for this is certainly the excellent location at the first crossing after the lorraine-bridge. it doesn't matter if your tour starts or ends here, it's worth a stop in every case.
politically it's mostly a tour against the wef, the globalisation or abut other socially sensitive topics. it seems clear, that it's mostly a socially aware group that organizes these events and you won't see fraternities, the svp or > zünfte in this place.
but also musicians, that aren't political at first place, perform here as a part of a local tour. like kuno lauener, züri west respectively for example.
me, i take over the gastr> onomical part. and you can trust me and plan a whole night for the visit in the > du nord (not only, because the waitress could be quite slow...). the beerdrinker get's local felsenau-beer, the wine drinker can choose from a nice selection and the eater gets spoilt.
i had a roe deer ragout with a touch of indian spices served with a mashed chestnuts. it was excellent. i was told that the shrimps had no mistake, too and met the high expectations.
i want to point out the large grappa collection. i haven't tried them, but i can still remember two of them: a grappa with a marijuana leave and a so called grappa erotica. imagine what you can say at the end of a date only by ordering a grappa...
for other stops i can recommend the café > kairo or the brasserie lorraine.
